All equipment is tested before delivery.
We have our own test stand for this. Among other things, we test max pull force on the winches, SWL with overload on lifting equipment etc.
Functional testing of control system and electronics is also important.
Some functions can still only be tested on board/at the site.
Occasionally, this leads to unexpected consequences, like the fact that our service supervisor now is one of the few who has docked the QEII.
Our service people know the equipment very well.
